Notre Dame continues to roll after their dominant 49-10 win over the Purdue Boilermakers on the road this weekend. The Irish took a 35-0 lead into halftime and never looked back. The offense needed to put together a balanced performance and did just that inside of Ross-Ade Stadium passing for 267 yards and rushing for a season-high 177 yards. Defensively, they continued their exceptional streak by holding Purdue to 40 rushing yards and 218 total yards of offense, 75 of which came on the final drive of the game. 

Up next, the Irish travel to Chapel Hill to take on head coach Bill Belichick and the North Carolina Tarheels who spent their early September bye week nursing their wounds from a tough road loss to the Clemson Tigers in Week 3. Notre Dame is currently riding a 14-game win streak dating back to September 20 of last season. The Irish, and head coach Marcus Freeman are now undefeated in the month of September for the first time in his tenure and remain ranked as the No. 3 team in the country by the Associated Press. 

Outside of Notre Dame's beatdown of the Boilermakers in West Lafayette, the rest of the college football world had a very interesting weekend, shaking up this weeks AP Top 25. Ole Miss went on the road to the Swamp to take on Jon Sumrall and the Florida Gators and got decimated 52-28 causing them to fall to No. 9 in the rankings. The Gators are now 4-0 and ranked No. 8 in the AP Top 25. 

The Texas A&M Aggies fell out of the Top 25 after a resounding loss on the road to the LSU Tigers who are ranked No. 11 by the Associated Press going into Week 5. The Penn State Nittany Lions dropped out of the rankings after losing to the Wisconsin Badgers in Happy Valley. The Louisville Cardinals are now 2-2 on the season after losing to an unranked Wake Forest team 30-27. The Michigan Wolverines are now unranked in the AP Poll after a loss in the final seconds at home to the Iowa Hawkeyes who now rank No. 14. 

USC lost at home to the Oregon Ducks 41-27 as head coach Lincoln Riley moves to 0-3 against Duck's head coach Dan Lanning. The Trojans now rank No. 18 in the country while Oregon moves up to No. 15 and their season-long turnaround after a Week 2 loss to Oklahoma State is in full swing. The Tennessee Volunteers now rank No. 17 after losing to Texas at home 20-17 and Mississippi State continues to climb in the AP Poll after beating the then-ranked No. 19 Missouri Tigers.
