Notre Dame secures commitment of blue-chip 2027 RB

With Jeremiyah Love and Jadarian Price, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish have been extremely strong at the running back position in recent years. Head coach Marcus Freeman is making sure that that trend continues in the seasons to come, as he's landed the commitment of 2027 four-star running back Isaiah Rogers, per On3's Hayes Fawcett.

Rogers is the No. 15 running back and No. 237 overall player in his class, per 247 Sports Composite. He competes for Springfield Central High School in Springfield, MA, where he's the second-ranked player in the state.

The now Fighting Irish commit held roughly 20 offers, with Georgia, Penn State and Indiana serving as other top contenders. But in the end, Rogers decided to pledge his word to Notre Dame, putting an end to his recruitment.

Standing 5-foot-11 and 205 pounds, Rogers is known for his tremendous vision and strength at the point of attack. During his 10-game junior season in 2025, he carried the ball 126 times for 986 yards and 15 touchdowns while also adding 37 catches for 401 yards and three scores.

The commitment of Rogers strengthens an already strong 2027 recruiting class for the Fighting Irish, as they're currently slotted at No. 5 in 247 Sports' team recruiting rankings.

On the offensive side of the ball, Rogers joins fellow commits in four-star offensive tackle James Halter and three-star running back Lathan Whisenton.
