It should come as no surprise that Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love is getting plenty of national recognition, and that against happened on Tuesday.

The junior has had a dominant season, rushing for 1,135-yards on 177 carries with 14 touchdowns on the ground and another 274-yards through the air with 3 more scores. Love is one of the most complete backs in the nation and it was no surprise on Tuesday when the Doak Walker Award named him to its semifinal list.

Love is in a battle with nine other stars at the position to win the award, and you have to believe that he is the current frontrunner. He’s No. 4 nationally in rushing yards and rushing scores, and is the No. 3 player, excluding kickers, in total scoring nationally. Notre Dame has never seen one of its players win this award, and that could be coming to an end in December.
