Notre Dame football made three new offers to 2028 prospects on Wednesday, and it was back at it on Thursday.

Actually, one of the offers went out yesterday as well, as 2028 Arizona cornerback Nekhi Lambeth got scholarship No. 11. The Irish wisely are after the 6-foot and 175-pound member of the secondary, as he’s the nation’s No. 175 overall prospect and No. 16 corner according to the 247Sports Composite. Lambeth has had a big 24-hours as Oklahoma and San Diego State also offered.

Thursday’s offer went out to 2027 5-star edge Anthony Sweeney. The Maryland native is the country’s No. 18 overall prospect according to the 247Sports Composite. At 6-foot, 4-inches and 230-pounds, Sweeney has the look of an elite pass rusher, and would be a massive recruiting win for Notre Dame.

After the flurry of offers out over the last two days, it’s pretty clear the direction that the irish are taking, recruiting some of the top players in the country. It’s pretty clear that at this point in head coach Marcus Freeman’s tenure, there is no prospect that is off-limits like there were in previous regimes. It has led Notre Dame to new recruiting heights, and it doesn’t look like it’s going to slow down anytime soon.
