Notre Dame football will begin its home portion of the 2026 schedule, as the Rice Owls come to South Bend, Indiana to face the No. 4 team in the country.

Both teams enter the game 1-0, but there are questions surrounding each team this early in the season. The Irish don’t nearly have the same as the Owls, with College Football Playoff hopes for the host, while the visitors are aiming to make a bowl game.
