Notre Dame vs Stanford Prediction: The Fighting Irish Dominance Rolls On
NCAAF College Football News, Photos, Stats, Scores, Schedule & Videos...
Notre Dame wasn’t great against North Carolina, and it still won by 11.
It was 21-20 Irish late in the third quarter against a Bill Belichick-coached team, but there wasn’t any panic. The team went about its business, scored 16 straight points, and that was about it.
On a run of 15 straight wins by double-digits – Army from 1944 to 1946 holds the record with 21 in a row – the Fighting Irish don’t appear to be slowing down. Stanford will try to ruin all of that.
The Cardinal are recharging under new head coach Tavita Pritchard, with ugly blowouts against Miami, Duke, and Wake Forest, around a surprising 34-27 win over Georgia Tech. Now it tries to do the seemingly impossible and give the Irish a good game.

Why Stanford Will Win
We have yet to see how Notre Dame handles any real adversity, especially when it comes to dealing with turnovers.
Give the Irish credit for not screwing up, with just one measly interception against Purdue this year, but Stanford isn’t bad at taking the ball away, with at least one takeaway in every game and two in the win over Georgia Tech.
The Cardinal will need a little help, but they’ll also need to take advantage of every opportunity.
Why Notre Dame Will Win
Stanford can’t score.
The passing game clicked for over 300 yards in the wins over Hawaii and Georgia Tech, but now it’s dealing with an Irish defense that’s 14th in the nation, allowing just 158 yards per game.
There’s no running game to rely on, either – the Cardinal have the fourth-worst ground attack in America, averaging just 88.8 yards per game.
Notre Dame vs Stanford Prediction, Betting Lines
Greatness can sometimes seem boring.
Notre Dame is so good and so methodical that it’s becoming a given that it’ll run out on the field, get great line play, a brilliant day from quarterback CJ Carr, and have little drama to deal with. Even when things get a tad tight, like last week in Chapel Hill, the Irish hit the gas pedal and put it away.
The Irish will end this after two drives.
