Notre Dame will wear LOU sticker on the helmets this season

Notre Dame announced via social media that the Irish will be wearing “LOU” stickers on the helmets this college football season to honor the late Lou Holtz.

We all knew this was going to be a thing in some way this year — as it should be. For those wondering why it isn’t above the bar on the facemark like the Irish did for Ara or Moose, I can’t offer you an answer of fact. What I can say is that helmet technology is much different, and the raised ND Monogram in that place right now might not be the easiest thing to change.

But it doesn’t matter where it’s located. Lou wouldn’t pay it any mind, and would be humble and grateful for the sticker. Now… let’s go win that national championship Lou predicted all the time.
