Notre Dame won’t be losing a promising young coach after all.
Reports indicate that Tre Reader won’t be following former Notre Dame Fighting Irish linebackers coach Max Bullough to Michigan State. Bullough joined the Spartans as co-defensive coordinator and linebackers coach.
Rumors spread that Reader might follow, but Reader will be staying in South Bend as a defensive analyst for the Fighting Irish.
Reader was a player for the Irish from 2022-2024.
It looked like Tre Reader was following Max Bullough to Michigan State. Not the case. @BGInews confirmed @ISDUpdate‘s report Reader is staying in South Bend to be a defensive analyst on the 2026 Notre Dame coaching staff.
Highly thought of young coach.https://t.co/SU5OgP1dMhpic.twitter.com/TRgWSo5Eht
