It wasn’t the way that Notre Dame head coach Marcus Freeman wanted, or anyone in Irish Nation, but he will be in Miami on Monday for the College Football Playoff Championship game.
The Irish’s head coach will be joining ESPN’s College GameDay as a guest analyst, in his latest appearance on television. Freeman spoke with the media yesterday, and we got plenty out of his 45-minutes-plus conversation. This won’t be the first time that he’s been a guest on the show, and it most likely won’t be his last either, unless his team is playing in the game next season.
This goes to show you how well respected Freeman is nationally, as they wouldn’t just ask any coach to sit with the panel and breakdown the game. The unique part of this is that he knows both teams very well, as Notre Dame played Miami this season and gave Indiana on of its two-losses over the last two campaigns.
While it sure has been hard to watch the CFP without the Irish in it, Freeman being on GameDay will surely attract many Notre Dame fans to see what he says.
