MADISON – For the second time in three weeks, the Wisconsin football program lost a member of its 2026 recruiting class.

Aden Reeder, a 6-foot-3, 215-pound linebacker from St. Xavier High School in Cincinnati, announced his decommitment on social media Monday, Nov. 3. He committed to the Badgers on May 12.

“This choice was not easy for me,” he wrote. “I genuinely want to thank the Badger coaches and staff for all the time, effort and support you’ve given me throughout the recruiting process. Coach Fickell, Coach Tressel and Coach Borland thank you. I truly enjoyed my visits and the chance to get to know each of you and learn about the program. Your dedication and passion have made a lasting impression on me.”

Reeder’s decommitment leaves the Badgers with 14 known commitments for the 2026 class. The lone inside linebacker left in the class is Appleton North’s Ben Wenzel.

Reeder’s departure from the class comes as UW is mired in a six-game losing streak. Recently Reeder announced on X scholarship offers from Nebraska, Michigan, Northwestern and Kentucky.

Tayshon Bardo, a receiver from Fishers, Indiana, decommitted Oct. 13.
