Ohio State Announces Caleb Downs News Before College Football Playoff Game

Caleb Downs has been one of the best players in college football for the past several years, during his time with the Ohio State Buckeyes and Alabama Crimson Tide.
Downs helped lead Ohio State to a national title last season and is looking to do the same as the Buckeyes head into the College Football Playoff as the No. 2 seed.
Ohio State will play the winner of a matchup between the Miami Hurricanes and Texas A&M Aggies in the second round of the CFP.
The Hurricanes and Aggies will play in the noon ET slot during the first weekend of the postseason. Ohio State will have a bye and meet the winner on New Year’s Eve.
Ahead of their first game in the CFP, Ohio State revealed that Caleb Downs has been named a member of CBS Sports’ All-America first team.

Caleb Downs was included in the CBS Sports All-American list along with teammates Jeremiah Smith, Arvell Reese and Kayden McDonald.
Downs is playing in his second season with the Ohio State Buckeyes. He spent his freshman season with Alabama and has started every game during his college football career.
In his second season with the Ohio State Buckeyes and third season in college football, Caleb Downs has posted two pass deflections, two interceptions and 60 tackles.
Ohio State will play its first game of the CFP on Dec. 31 at 7:30 p.m. ET on ESPN and the ESPN app. They’re set to play in the Cotton Bowl.
