It was an away game that Ohio State needed to have; at Iowa. Not only did it leave Iowa City with a win, but it also dominated with a 31-14 victory over the Hawkeyes on Saturday afternoon.

With ESPN's College GameDay in attendance, Ohio State took an early lead and never looked back. After the Buckeyes forced a fumble on the first drive of the game, it was an uphill climb for the Hawkeyes.

Ohio State capitalized on a short field on its first possession and scored 10 quick points, solidifying itself as the clear team to beat. After a back-and-forth first half, it was all Buckeyes after halftime.

After a 17-6 lead into the half, Ohio State put its foot down early, going 75 yards on just five plays to go up 24-6, the only points in the third quarter, and never looked back.

Following a fast start, it was a quiet second half, with just 22 points scored between the teams. But Ohio State never found itself struggling.

Ohio State outgained Iowa by over 200 total yards, 120 rushing yards, and finished with nine more first downs.

Jeremiah Smith paced the Buckeyes with 11 catches for 206 yards and two touchdowns, breaking the all-time Buckeye record in receiving touchdowns. Ohio State quarterback Julian Sayin threw for 324 yards and three touchdowns, while Devin McCuin added 80 yards on four catches.

The Buckeyes ran for 160 yards on 47 carries, while Iowa averaged just 1.9 yards a carry and finished with just 238 yards of offense.

Ohio State moves to 4-1 and heads into a matchup with Maryland next week.
