Brian Hartline is reportedly moving on from his tenure as Ohio State’s offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach after the 2025 season, and Buckeye fans will likely miss him.

On Dec. 3, multiple reports said Hartline will become the next head coach of South Florida as part of the 2025 coaching carousel. USF’s previous head coach, Dublin Scioto graduate Alex Golesh, accepted a job with Auburn as announced by the school on Nov. 30.

Hartline has been the wide receivers coach for the Buckeyes for the entirety of Ryan Day’s tenure at Ohio State, and the primary offensive play caller and offensive coordinator in the 2025 season.
