It’s another Ohio State football game day, and this time the Buckeyes travel to the tourist destination of West Lafayette to take on the Purdue Boilermakers.
You have to play well to win a college football game, but you also have to have luck when it comes to injuries, and so far, Ohio State has been good on all of those fronts. We say this every week, but as a reminder, OSU stopped releasing a traditional injury report a few years ago. Instead, it provides an availability report just a couple of hours ahead of each game, and we just received that report for the Purdue game.
There is one key player out with right guard Joshua Padilla listed as unavailable. He usually is the backup to Tegra Tshabola, but has garnered more and more playing time in more of a rotation lately, so it looks like the team will have to rely on Tshabola — who has been playing much better as of late.
Also, starting right tackle Phillip Daniels is questionable, so we’ll see if he can go. If he can’t look for the man he battled intensely for the starting spot, Rice transfer Ethan Onianwa to get the nod. Bottom line — the right side of that offensive line might be a bit of a M*A*S*H* unit today against the Boilermakers.
Here’s a look at the complete Ohio State football availability report for the Purdue game.
