Well that didn't take very long at all.
News of an Ohio State Buckeyes player entering the transfer portal didn't even wait an hour from the end of OSU's loss to Miami in the College Football Playoff quarterfinal at the Cotton Bowl.
Of course, there's little time to waste for these guys, with others having already signaled their intentions weeks ago.
It was still quite quick, though.
On3's Hayes Fawcett broke the news late Wednesday night that tight end Jelani Thurman is into the portal.
Thurman was originally a four-star recruit by the Buckeyes who also took visits to Michigan State, Auburn and Alabama.
The 6-foot-6 tight end has two years of eligibility remaining.

Thurman has played in 33 games across three seasons with Ohio State.
He has made a total of 13 catches for 144 yards and two touchdowns.
Of those, seven catches, 84 yards and a TD came in 2025 for Thurman.
Now, he'll be looking for a new home to continue his college football career. He didn't take long to say goodbye, but in modern NCAA football, you really don't have the time to do anything like that.
