The transfer portal doesn’t officially open until Friday, but on Wednesday, several Oklahoma Sooners announced plans to enter the portal. The biggest name being quarterback Michael Hawkins Jr. Joining Hawkins will be his brother, cornerback Maliek Hawkins, according to ESPN’s Pete Thamel.
Hawkins, a three-star signing in the 2025 recruiting class, will have all four years of eligibility remaining. Hawkins played in only one game, with three snaps against Kent State.
He’s a fast, athletic corner with good size. He’ll have options in the transfer portal. According to Thamel, the brothers plan to transfer together to their next destination.
