Wide receiver Jayden Petit signed his letter of intent to play his college football at Oklahoma during the early signing period on Wednesday.

Petit was one of the most recent commits to the Sooners’ Class of 2026. Coach Brent Venables and Co. flipped the Florida-based wide receiver from Wisconsin last week. When he committed, he was one of five wideouts in the class.

Petit ranked as the No. 167 recruit in the country, per 247Sports composite player rankings. He ranks as the No. 24 wide receiver in the country and the 24th-ranked player in the Sunshine State, as well.

Wisconsin originally landed Petit’s commitment over the summer. But the Badgers have struggled as one of the worst offenses in FBS this year. Oklahoma, on the other hand, is likely to make the College Football Playoff following Saturday’s win over LSU.

“Big and fluid receiver that has what it takes to emerge as a go-to target on Saturdays with his ball skills and body control,” wrote 247Sports’ director of scouting Andrew Ivins. “Has showcased the ability to get open all over the field as he can stretch defenses vertically or strain them at the intermediate level with his catch radius and sudden movements.”
