The Oklahoma Sooners‘ 2027 recruiting class is off to a phenomenal start, less than 12 months from the early signing period. Heading into the last couple of weeks of January, the Sooners own the No. 1 recruiting class in the country, according to 247Sports.
That’s in large part to the work they’ve done in the trenches, with a pair of blue-chip offensive tackles, a four-star defensive end, and a four-star defensive tackle.
Oklahoma currently has a blue-chip ratio of 53% but you can bet that number will grow as recruiting season officially kicks off. The Sooners have typically done their best work on the recruiting trail in the spring and summer, leading into that class’s senior season. With many of their high-profile targets already committed like Cooper Hackett, Kaeden Penny, Taven Epps, Elija Harmon, Demare Dezeurn, Krew Jones, and Mikhail McCreary, the Sooners are able to allocate their recruiting resources to building on top of that elite foundation.
With 11 months to the early signing period, here’s where Oklahoma’s recruiting class stands with our 2027 recruiting class commitment tracker.
