The Oklahoma Sooners‘ top-ranked 2027 recruiting class continues to carry momentum through the 2025 season, earning a big-time commitment from three-star cornerback Mikyal Davis.
Davis is a 5-foot-11, 175-pound cornerback who holds 34 offers, including offers from schools like Alabama, Ohio State, Ole Miss, Texas, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Notre Dame, and Miami.
Out of Phoenix, Arizona, Davis is a competitive cornerback who can be deployed in a variety of ways. He’s sticky in coverage and shows great play recognition. He’s great at working across the formation and sifting through bodies to find the ball carrier. He’s a physical player and aggressive in run support. Davis lines up in the slot, on the outside, shows excellent awareness in zone, is physical in press-man coverage, and displays great timing on the corner blitz.
Davis is an excellent fit for the Oklahoma Sooners defense with his fast, physical, and aggressive play style, and this is a massive commitment for the Sooners and head coach Brent Venables.
