The Oklahoma Sooners continue to see movement in the NCAA transfer portal after losing in the first round of the College Football Playoff to the Alabama Crimson Tide. On Monday, OU learned that a fourth player is reportedly preparing to enter the portal when it opens on January 2. The lone portal window of the 2026 cycle will run until January 16, with an extension for teams that are still alive in the CFP during the full portal window.
Offensive lineman Isaiah Dent announced that he’ll be hopping in the portal on the first Friday of 2026. Dent was a three-star recruit in the 2024 recruiting class out of Fulton, Mississippi, for the Sooners. He just wrapped up his redshirt freshman season in Norman. He is the cousin of Marcus Dupree, who famously played running back under Barry Switzer in 1982 and 1983.
After much prayer and family talks, I’ll enter the transfer portal on January 2 with three years of eligibility left. Thank you #SoonerNationpic.twitter.com/AM15EMHlHV

Dent appeared in just one game for the Sooners, which was the win over Maine in 2024. He called the opportunity to play at Oklahoma “life-changing”, and lauded the dedication of the coaching staff, the camaraderie of his teammates, and the unwavering support of the Sooner faithful, saying it made the journey “unforgettable”.
Dent is the fourth player that the Sooners have lost at this time to the portal, joining wide receiver Jayden Gibson, defensive back Kendel Dolby, and linebacker Kobie McKinzie.
