The Oklahoma Sooners are on a roll with their recruiting, and it doesn’t seem like it’s going to get any worse.

The Oklahoma Sooners are putting the finishing touches on their 2027 recruiting class. It’s currently the No. 1 class in the country and could finish that way or at least in the top three. However, they aren’t even done adding talent yet. Earlier this week, the Sooners sent an offer to a good offensive lineman.

According to Parker Thune of On3, the Sooners just recently sent an offer to 2027 OL Jaxon Lawler. They gave him the offer after a great camp performance on Tuesday. The only thing is that just happened, and we may already know where Lawler is going, because he basically told everyone.

2027 OU target Jaxon Lawler talks his dream to play at OU

“My grandpa was a diehard OU fan and graduated from business school there,” Lawler told SoonerScoop. “He brought me to all the games when I was little. I was on campus, going to games when I was a year old. And he passed when I was eleven, and I kind of made a promise to myself – I said, ‘I will play football for OU one day.’ And so it’s kind of cool to see all of that come true. I started crying when they told me.”

Lawler will see himself as an interior offensive lineman in college, at least if he plays in the SEC. He’s 6’4, 270, so he does need to put some weight on. However, he can play tackle if they ever need him to, as he played it some in high school.

The Sooners have five offensive linemen currently committed to their class, including two of the best in the country, Cooper Hackett and Kaeden Penny. They have three guys who will probably play inside, and two at tackle. They also just sent an offer to Corey Laga, an interior offensive lineman. But, it sounds like Lawler will be a Sooner, unless something crazy happens, because why would he go against his own promise to himself, right?
