STILLWATER — Oklahoma State’s big portal weekend continued with its first big defensive addition Sunday.
The Cowboys landed former North Texas safety Quinton Hammonds, according to On3.com.
A 6-foot-1, 219-pound defensive back, Hammonds made 10 starts and played in 12 games this past season as a true sophomore. He had 53 tackles and a sack to go along with two interceptions — tied for the team lead — and three pass breakups. He also forced a fumble.
Throughout the past two seasons, he’s totaled 105 tackles, three interceptions and four pass breakups.
He’s the third domino to fall for the Cowboys, who also added the coveted duo of quarterback Drew Mestemaker and running back Caleb Hawkins over the weekend.
