Oklahoma wide receiver Zion Kearney has entered the NCAA transfer portal, On3’s Pete Nakos has learned. He is a former four-star recruit.
Kearney appeared in five games this past season as a sophomore, totaling 31 yards in that time. That came after he made 11 appearances as a true freshman in 2024 when he hauled in eight catches for 128 yards and a touchdown.
Kearney is the latest Oklahoma receiver to enter the transfer portal so far this cycle. He will have two years of eligibility remaining.

Zion Kearney played high school football at Missouri City (TX) Hightower, where he was a four-star prospect. He was the No. 100 overall player from the 2024 cycle, according to the Rivals Industry Ranking.
Kearney is now the third Oklahoma receiver to either hit the open market or announce his intention to go so. Jayden Gibson entered after leaving the program mid-season and Javonnie Gibson is also expected to enter the portal, On3 reported Tuesday.
But OU made a splash at the position on Tuesday. Former Texas wide receiver Parker Livingstone announced his commitment to the Sooners after entering the portal this week. He was a key target for roommate Arch Manning at Texas, hauling in 29 receptions for 516 yards and six touchdowns.
Livingstone penned a message on social media announcing his departure from Texas, thanking coaches Steve Sarkisian and Chris Jackson, as well as the fan base and his teammates. He indicated he didn’t necessarily plan to do so, but ultimately entered the portal.
“Never did I think growing up I would have the opportunity to play for Texas,” Livingstone wrote. “It was a dream come true, and the last 24 months have been the best time of my life. … Never in a million years did I think I would be going into the portal looking for a new home. Some things are out of my control. Such is the reality of the ever-changing landscape of college football.
“Emptied my tank every day for this great university, my teammates & all of the good folks of Texas. Grateful.”
Livingstone’s addition is important for John Mateer and Oklahoma after this year’s run to the College Football Playoff. The Sooners had a home game, where they fell to Alabama in the first round.
