Ole Miss football has two decommits for 2026 class after Lane Kiffin leaves for LSU

OXFORD — Ole Miss football’s coaching change is starting to shake up its 2026 signing class.
Lane Kiffin left Ole Miss (11-1) to take the LSU coaching job on Nov. 30. Ole Miss athletic director Keith Carter promoted defensive coordinator Pete Golding to take over as coach as the Rebels head into the CFP.
The shakeup happed just before early national signing day on Dec. 3.
Four-star receiver Corey Barber and three-star receiver Jameson Powell have decommitted from Ole Miss’ incoming 2026 class since Kiffin departed. They announced their decisions on social media.
Ole Miss’ class is ranked No. 21 in the 247Sports Composite. There are 18 players remaining in the class.
Here is who has decommitted since Kiffin left for LSU.
Corey Barber, WR
Rank: 4 stars, No. 169 in nation, No. 8 in Alabama, No. 25 at wide receiver
High school/Hometown: Clay-Chalkville/Pinson, Alabama
Height/Weight: 6-0, 180
Barber decommitted from Ole Miss on Nov. 30. He has offers from plenty of programs according to 247Sports, including Alabama, Georgia, Oregon and Penn State.
Jameson Powell, WR
Rank: 3 stars, No. 715 in nation, No. 53 in California, No. 103 at wide receiver
High school/Hometown: Folsom/Folsom, California
Height/Weight: 5-11, 170
Powell decommitted from Ole Miss on Dec. 1. He has offers from Colorado, Washington, Oregon and others.
