Ole Miss football, Pete Golding transfer portal live updates tracker for 2026 roster

Now that the Ole Miss football season has ended, things could start picking up for the Rebels as far as losing players in the transfer portal.

Ole Miss made it to the CFP semifinals in the Fiesta Bowl, where the Rebels lost 31-27 to Miami on Jan. 8.

There were only three Rebels in the transfer portal before the Fiesta Bowl, including backup quarterback Austin Simmons, who is reportedly leaving for Missouri.

But that’s expected to change with the season over. The portal closes on Jan. 16.

The Rebels are entering the first full season under coach Pete Golding in 2026. Lane Kiffin left Ole Miss for LSU after six seasons. He took the Rebels to new heights in his tenure and built Ole Miss’ reputation as a school that capitalizes on the transfer portal.

Who Ole Miss has added in the transfer portal

Michai Boireau, Florida DL

Boireau committed to Ole Miss on Jan. 5, according to reports from 247Sports and On3. He started nine games this season as a sophomore and made 20 tackles and two sacks with one interception.

Carius Curne, LSU OL

The interchange between Ole Miss and LSU continues. Former LSU offensive lineman Carius Curne committed to Ole Miss on Jan. 6. according to a report from On3.

Curne was a true freshman in 2025 and played in seven games. He was limited to to a leg injury he sustained on Oct. 25. He made five starts, and moved between left tackle and right tackle. He is a former four-star prospect.

Jeheim Oatis, Colorado DL

Oatis committed to Ole Miss on Jan. 5, according to reports from ESPN and On3. He’s a Columbia native who played for Golding at Alabama before transferring to Colorado. This season, Oatis started four games while playing in 11 and made nine tackles with no sacks or tackles for loss.

Jay Crawford, Auburn CB

Auburn transfer cornerback Jay Crawford committed to Ole Miss on Jan. 3, per On3. He started 10 games for the Tigers in 2025 and made 15 tackles. He had four pass breakups and one interceptions in 2025. He was a former four-star recruit out of Atlanta.

Crawford was the first player to commit to Ole Miss in the 2026 transfer portal class.

Keaton Thomas, Baylor LB

Former Baylor linebacker Keaton Thomas committed to Ole Miss on the night of Jan. 3. He posted the news on Instagram.

Thomas is one of the top linebackers in the transfer portal. He had 105 tackles for the Bears in 2025. He has previously played at West Virginia and Northeast Mississippi Community College. He also started all 13 games for Baylor in 2024.

Jonathan Maldonado, Nevada DE

The Rebels added the former Nevada defensive end on Jan. 4. On3 reported the news. He is a 6-foot-6 junior from Monrovia, California. He had a career-high five sacks in 2025, and one interception.

Sharif Denson, Florida DB

Denson started for the Gators in 2025 and had 53 total tackles. He was a junior in 2025 and entered the transfer portal for the first time. He is a 5-11, 195-pound player from Jacksonville, Florida.

Chris Jones, Southern Miss LB

After two productive seasons at Southern Miss, linebacker Chris Jones will be a Rebel. He committed to Ole Miss on Jan. 5, per 247Sports.

Jones is a 6-foot, 230-pound player from Bryram. He led Southern Miss with 133 tackles in 2025. He also had 3.5 sacks and an interception.

Ole Miss football players who’ve entered the transfer portal

Jaden Yates, LB

Yates entered the portal on Jan. 10, according to media reports. The 6-1, 220-pound junior was in his first season at Ole Miss after transferring from Marshall.

Yates had 55 total tackles and 1.5 tackles for loss in his one Ole Miss season.

Ricky Fletcher, CB

Fletcher entered the portal on Jan. 10, according to media reports. The 6-3, 200-pound redshirt junior was in his first season at Ole Miss after transferring from South Alabama.

Fletcher played at Holmes County and is from Durant, Mississippi. He played in 14 games and had 11 total tackles and 2 pass breakups in his one Ole Miss season.

Winston Watkins, WR

Watkins announced he entered the portal on Jan. 9. The freshman had 26 catches for 373 yards and one touchdown this season and also five rushes for 21 yards. He was a four-star in the 2025 recruiting class from Venice, Florida.

PJ Wilkins, OL

Wilkins announced on Jan. 5 that he’s entered the transfer portal. He transferred from Charlotte this season and started the first two games at left guard but has since fallen to a second-stringer behind Delano Townsend.

Wilkins committed to Wisconsin.

Austin Simmons, QB

Ole Miss football quarterback Austin Simmons is entering the transfer portal, according to ESPN’s Pete Thamel on Jan. 2.

Simmons, who is Trinidad Chambliss’ backup, is expected to stay with the Rebels’ for the remainder of their CFP run.

He began this year as Ole Miss’ starting quarterback, but after Simmons suffered an injury in the Rebels’ Week 2 win over Kentucky, Chambliss assumed the starting role.

Simmons is reportedly transferring to Missouri.

Domonique Thomas, RB

Ole Miss running back Domonique Thomas has entered the transfer portal, according to a report from Chris Hummer of 247Sports on Jan. 2. Thomas is a transfer who began his career as a walk-on.

He has not recorded any stats in 2025. He overcame tragedy and filled in as an occasional backup for the Rebels in 2024.
