Ole Miss football transfer portal visitors for Pete Golding with window closing soon

OXFORD — Ole Miss football is competing with teams down the stretch of the transfer portal window to round out the 2026 roster for coach Pete Golding.
The transfer portal opened Jan. 2. Ole Miss has been active in assembling a class since its season ended on Jan. 8 after a loss in the Fiesta Bowl. Jan. 16 is the final day players can enter the portal but players can sign with new schools after that.
Of the top 50 players in the the 247Sports transfer portal rankings, just five remain uncommitted. Golding and the Rebels have signed three of them in former Auburn quarterback Deuce Knight (No. 21), LSU offensive tackle Carius Curne (No. 25) and Syracuse wide receiver Darrell Gill (No. 27).
Here’s who Ole Miss is bringing in for visits in the final days.
Liam Danitz, Hope College EDGE
Division III edge rusher Liam Danitz is a fascinating prospect from West Branch, Michigan. He posted Jan. 15 on social media that he would visit Ole Miss on Jan. 16.
Danitz is an All-American sprinter for Hope in the 200 meters, where he ran a 20.92. He is listed at 6-foot-2, 230 pounds. He had 15 sacks in 2025.
Danitz has also visited Wisconsin.
Blake Purchase, Oregon DL/LB
Oregon transfer linebacker Blake Purchase visited Ole Miss on Jan. 15, per his social media. He has two seasons of eligibility remaining.
Purchase would be a nice addition for the Rebels defensive front, considering he can play edge rusher and linebacker. Ole Miss starting linebacker TJ Dottery entered the transfer portal on Jan. 15.
Purchase is a 6-3, 245-pound player who is listed at linebacker for Oregon. He recorded at least one tackle in 14 games for the Ducks in 2025. He had 32 on the season, including 4.5 tackles for loss.
Jordan Renaud, Alabama EDGE
Alabama transfer defensive lineman Jordan Renaud is visiting Ole Miss on Jan. 15, per the Ole Miss Spirit.
Renaud will be a redshirt junior. He played in all 15 games for the Crimson Tide and he made three starts. He had 18 tackles, including 1.5 tackles for loss.
