OXFORD — The SEC schedule for the first full season for Ole Miss football without coach Lane Kiffin has been released.

Ole Miss‘ 2026 football schedule was revealed Dec. 11. It will be the first full season under coach Pete Golding, who replaced Kiffin on Nov. 30.

It’s the first season under the new annual opponents the SEC has issued. Ole Miss will play Mississippi State. Oklahoma and LSU each season.

It was announced Dec. 10 that Ole Miss will begin the season in Nashville in a neutral-site game against Louisville.

Although Ole Miss (11-1) is focused on beating Tulane (11-2) on Dec. 20 (2:30 p.m., TNT) in the CFP, it’s never too early to look ahead to next season. Here’s a look at the full schedule, and what to know.

Ole Miss football 2026 schedule

  • Week 1, Sept. 5 or Sept. 6: Ole Miss vs. Louisville (Nashville)
  • Week 2, Sept. 12: Ole Miss vs. Charlotte
  • Week 3, Sept. 19: Ole Miss vs. LSU

  • Week 10, Nov. 7: Ole Miss vs. Georgia

Lane Kiffin, LSU return set for Week 3

Ole Miss fans won’t have to wait long for one of the most dramatic matchups of the 2026 college football season.

Kiffin will coach LSU in the Magnolia Bowl for the first time. It will be played in Week 3 on Sept. 19 as Ole Miss’ SEC opener. It comes after leaving Ole Miss for LSU after six successful seasons as the Ole Miss coach.

The Tigers are an annual opponent for Ole Miss, so the hostilities will have a chance to continue.

Ole Miss schedule gets difficult quickly

Ole Miss will play away from Vaught-Hemingway Stadium twice in the first four weeks. Those are the season opener in Week 1, which is a neutral-site game against Louisville in Nashville, and a Week 4 road game at Florida.

With Week 3 setting up to be an emotional game against LSU, it’s a tough start to the season. If Ole Miss can get to its only open week in Week 5 with an undefeated record, it would set the Rebels up to reach to the CFP yet again.

Egg Bowl game vs. Mississippi State scheduled for a Saturday

The Egg Bowl will not be played on Thanksgiving or Black Friday in 2026.

Ole Miss will host Mississippi State in the final regular season game on Saturday, Nov. 28, according to the schedule reveal show.

The 2025 Egg Bowl date was moved in May to be on Black Friday, so there is a possibility the 2026 game is moved to the traditional date as well.

The Rebels have won three consecutive Egg Bowl games and will be playing to win seven out of the past eight in Vaught-Hemingway Stadium.
