We’re just 80 days away from the kickoff of the 2026 season for Penn State!

Cooper Alexander will be among the many new faces for the Nittany Lions when the team takes on Marshall in week one. Alexander was one of the many former Iowa State Cyclones to follow Matt Campbell, and much of the former staff, from Ames to State College.

Alexander comes to Penn State as a redshirt sophomore after sitting out his first season in 2024. He appeared in 11 games in 2025, contributing five catches for 47 yards. He is joined in the tight end room by fellow Cyclones Ben Brahmer and Gabe Burkle. Alexander also earned Academic All-Big 12 honors during his first season of eligibility.

Alexander initially joined Iowa State as a three-star prospect, and the sixth-ranked player out of Oklahoma in the 2024 class.
