It’s Saturday, but there’s still another 12 weeks until Penn State takes the field to kick off the 2026 season.

It’s been a long time coming for Peter Gonzalez to return to the field. Gonzalez took a redshirt season to learn the ropes in 2024, coming to Penn State as one of the top 10 prospects out of Pennsylvania. Unfortunately, an injury took away his entire 2025 season.

Gonzalez is now looking for his turn to prove himself under a new staff. At 6-2, 211 lbs., he has intriguing athleticism for his size and could become a factor for a new-look Penn State offense. It’s been a long time coming, but Gonzalez is preparing to show what he can do in front of a packed Beaver Stadium in another 84 days.
