Vaea Ikakoula was a three-star recruit and the No. 15 player from Utah in the 2025 class. He originally committed to Stanford in June of 2024 before flipping to Iowa State at the end of the calendar year. He started two games for the Cyclones in 2025 and appeared in four games total. On Christmas Eve, he entered the transfer portal and ultimately decided to follow Matt Campbell to Penn State in early January. Ikakoula has four years of eligibility remaining.

Because he started twice as a true freshman, Ikakoula will likely be in the two-deep on the offensive line in 2026. Penn State returns Anthony Donkoh and Cooper Cousins, but the rest of the line is a bit of a question mark right now. We will see how things shake out during fall camp, but Ikakoula figures to have a solid future on the offensive line.
