When the latest 247Sports recruiting rankings came out earlier this week, Oregon Ducks offensive tackle commit Drew Fielder was one of the big movers. He was previously rated as a 3-star prospect, the No. 827 player in the 2027 class, but he moved up to a 4-star and the No. 81 overall player in the class.

And now the USC Trojans are trying to get in on him as a prospect.

Fielder is on a visit to Los Angeles on Friday, checking out the facilities and the campus as the Trojans get set for the spring football season. While Fielder has been committed to the Ducks since February 1st, he is going to be a tough player to hold onto until National Signing Day, with the nation becoming more aware of him.

Fielder stands at 6-foot-6, 280 pounds, and projects to be a physical left tackle at the next level.

Oregon currently has the No. 13 class in the 2027 cycle, with five commits, including a pair of offensive tackles — Fielder and 3-star OT Avery Michael.
