Oregon Ducks given great odds to win 2027 National Championship

It is a rarity in today’s college football landscape to consistently place yourself among the elite teams in the nation, with ever-growing volatility due to NIL deals and the transfer portal. That makes it all the more impressive that the Oregon Ducks have been able to sustain their success over a four-year span and multiple iterations of the roster.

Although they haven’t been able to break through and win a championship just yet in the Dan Lanning era, they have been inching closer in each year of his regime. They advanced all the way to the College Football Playoff semifinals this season before succumbing to the Indiana Hoosiers, who went on to win it all last night.

It’s no surprise that they will enter next season with better odds than the Ducks to win the championship again, but there aren’t many more teams ahead of them. Fanduel Sportsbook has given Oregon the fifth-best odds to win the title next year, behind fellow powerhouses like the Texas Longhorns, Ohio State Buckeyes and Notre Dame Fighting Irish.

The Ducks have taken on a potent recruiting class this year and snagged some promising players out of the transfer portal, so it feels like a breakthrough has to be coming soon. Oddsmakers see the progression too, but they are going to have to prove it out on the field after blowout losses to end their last two campaigns.

A national championship is the only thing that matters in Eugene now, and the Ducks are in prime position to make it happen this season.
