Oregon Ducks leap Mario Cristobal, Miami in 2027 recruiting rankings

The Oregon Ducks got a big-time recruiting win on Friday morning, and they happened to score a secondary win over two of their former coaches while at it.

Live on the Pat McAfee Show, 4-star linebacker Brayton Feister announced his commitment to the Ducks, choosing Dan Lanning's squad over the Ohio State Buckeyes, Georgia Bulldogs, and California Golden Bears. While Feister's choice of Oregon over Cal gives Lanning a win over former defensive coordinator Tosh Lupoi, it also moved the Ducks up in the national recruiting rankings.

Oregon now sits at No. 3 in the rankings, jumping the Miami Hurricanes as they moved up from their No. 4 spot before the commitment. The Ducks are led by a pair of 5-star players in WR Dakota Guerrant and EDGE Rashad Streets.

Feister is a massive pickup for Oregon, as he stood as one of the top remaining uncommitted players in the nation. Feister measures in at 6-foot-2, 238 pounds, and is rated by the 247Sports Composite as the No. 133 player and No. 9 ATH in the 2027 Class.

Feister is expected to play LB in Eugene and is now one of two high-profile backers to join the Ducks' 2027 class. Oregon already has a commitment from 4-star Toa Satele, the No. 84 overall player and No. 6 LB in the nation.

Oregon's 2027 class remains the highest-rated in the Big Ten during this cycle, with the Buckeyes coming in a few spots behind them nationally, ranked No. 6.
