The month of November is usually a crazy one in college football, with critical conference matchups causing massive ripples in the College Football Playoff race as teams jockey for final position on conference championship weekend.

Week 13 wasn’t quite like that, though.

As almost the entire SEC took a virtual week off with games against the likes of Charlotte, Mercer, and Eastern Illinois, the Oregon Ducks picked up a statement win over the USC Trojans, cruising to a 42-27 victory where they had control seemingly from the start of the game on.

Outside of Eugene, there were very few upsets or surprises to speak of, which leaves us with a playoff picture and top-25 ranking that looks largely like it did a week ago. This means that the Ducks didn’t move in the US LBM Coaches Poll, where they still rank No. 5 in the nation.

Here’s a look at the top 10:

  1. Ohio State Buckeyes
  2. Indiana Hoosiers
  3. Texas A&M Aggies
  4. Georgia Bulldogs
  5. Oregon Ducks
  6. Ole Miss Rebels
  7. Texas Tech Red Raiders
  8. Oklahoma Sooners
  9. Notre Dame Fighting Irish
  10. Alabama Crimson Tide

Oregon is now facing a tough test this weekend on the road in Seattle, with the Washington Huskies playing host in a rivalry game with massive ramifications. With a win, Oregon is into the College Football Playoff, while a loss likely knocks them out of contention. That game will be played at 12:30 p.m. PST and aired on CBS.
