The Oregon Ducks are making another addition to their coaching staff ahead of the start of the spring football season in Eugene. According to a report from CBS Sports’ Matt Zenitz, the Ducks are adding former Purdue Boilermakers special teams analyst James Brown to the coaching staff in a special teams assistant role.
This news comes just a day after Oregon announced that it was adding former Las Vegas Raiders assistant defensive line coach Rip Rowan to the defensive staff in Eugene.
Brown has worked under Purdue coach Barry Odom for several years now, starting back on the staff with the UNLV Rebels.
Before starting his coaching career, Brown served two internships at Oregon, which followed completing two seasons as a recruiting and operations intern for the Ducks. He earned both his bachelor’s degree (2018) and master’s (2020) from Oregon.
With spring football just a couple of weeks away, we can likely expect a couple more coaching announcements in the coming days.
