Oregon Football 2026 Signing Day: Ducks land 3-Star IOL Koloi Keli

It’s time to introduce arguably the most interesting player in this year’s recruiting class for the Oregon Ducks, Koloi Keli. He isn’t a top-ranked recruit, but he committed to the California Golden Bears before the Ducks were able to pry him away a little more than three weeks later.

It’s just a testament to the inclusive and welcoming culture that Dan Lanning has built over the last four years that Keli took one visit to the school and flipped his commitment in just 10 days.

He was born and raised in Hawaii, where he played his high school ball at Farrington. Keli has great size for an interior offensive lineman, which could be useful for offensive coordinator Will Stein and his aggressive, up-the-middle running scheme. He isn’t very highly rated, but the Ducks have managed to develop lesser-known prospects than him, so there is a good chance that he turns out to be a high-end starter in college regardless.

Koloi Keli Position Outlook

I think it’s more likely that we see Keli in his second or third season rather than him getting snaps right away. He is only a three-star recruit, which isn’t indicative of future success, but he doesn’t have as much as a widely available scouting report, so he will likely need some seasoning during his freshman year.

The good news for Keli is that all of the starters on the interior for Oregon are at least juniors, and one will even be leaving after the season. However, there are some younger freshman and sophomore players waiting in the wings, so there might not be a clear path to playing time right away. It seems much more sensible for Lanning and his staff to go with the guys they’ve already been developing as opposed to someone who still needs to go through that process.

Oregon 2026 Class Outlook

Going into the Early Signing Period, the Ducks are expected to sign a fourth-straight top-10 class, and there’s a good chance that they ink another top-5 class, challenging for the best signing class in program history yet again under Dan Lanning. While Oregon may not have the size of class that we’ve seen in the past, pushing 30 recruits, it does rank as the best in the nation when it comes to the average rating of recruits. The Ducks focused on quality over quantity this cycle, and they’re bringing in a handful of the best players in the nation as members of the 2026 class.
