Oregon Ducks quarterback Dante Moore likely will miss Saturday’s game against No. 21 UCLA as he continues recovering from the concussion he suffered against USC.
Moore has returned to practice and continues to make progress, but the most recent report points toward Dylan Raiola making his first start for Oregon when the Ducks host the Bruins at Autzen Stadium.
CBS Sports’ Matt Zenitz took to X, formerly Twitter, Wednesday with the latest on Moore’s status and Oregon’s quarterback outlook heading into Week 6.

Moore suffered the concussion during Oregon’s 41-27 road win vs. USC on Sept. 26 after taking a targeting hit while sliding. He was taken to a hospital, and coach Dan Lanning later said MRI and CT scans were clean.
The Ducks had a bye last weekend, giving Moore nearly two weeks between the injury and Saturday’s game. He returned to practice Monday in a helmet and shoulder pads but has not been cleared.
Raiola played well in relief against the Trojans, completing 19 of 25 passes for 289 yards and two touchdowns while directing five touchdown drives.
Moore has completed 69 of 99 passes for 926 yards and nine touchdowns through four games.
Saturday’s matchup also carries a personal angle for Moore, who began his college career at UCLA before transferring to Oregon. If he sits, Raiola would make his first start for Oregon in Saturday’s Big Ten matchup at Autzen Stadium.
The Ducks host UCLA Saturday afternoon as Oregon looks to improve to 4-1 overall and 2-0 in Big Ten play. Moore continues to progress, but Raiola remains the likely starter if the current outlook holds.
