Oregon Gets Strong Team Grade Following Impressive Win vs USC

The Oregon Ducks came away with what may have been the most impressive win of the weekend in college football.

Despite losing starting quarterback Dante Moore to injury, the Ducks never wavered against the USC Trojans. Oregon rallied against the higher-seeded Trojans, grabbing an impressive 41-27 win on the road.

This was a game that the Ducks had to have following a loss to Oklahoma State a few weeks ago. But to get the victory without Moore in the second half showed just how strong of a team the Ducks have.

With the performance, the Ducks were given a strong team grade to recognize their performance. College football analyst David Cobb of CBS Sports gave Oregon an 'A-' for the game.

Oregon backup Dylan Raiola stepped up with Moore out to lead his guys to a win, proving that his decision to come to the Ducks was justified. Raiola threw for 289 yards and two touchdowns against the Trojans, keeping their College Football Playoff hopes alive.

Following the offensive explosion for Oregon without Moore, it showed that the Ducks could still be a contender if he is forced to miss time. Moore suffered a concussion, with most of his tests coming back clean, but it remains unknown how long he will be out.

If Moore does have to miss time, Raiola at least gives the Ducks confidence to lead this team forward. Before coming to Oregon, Raiola was seen as one of the more talented quarterbacks in college football while at Nebraska.

But the Cornhuskers weren't going anywhere, seeing Raiola head to Oregon to sit behind Moore for a season. Now, Raiola may be getting some playing time that he wasn't expecting, but it could help keep the Ducks season alive.

Opposing teams will be more ready for Raiola going forward, but the signal-caller looked very comfortable in the Oregon schemes. Raiola has immense talent at the position, but having someone like Dan Lanning leading him could help unlock his full potential.

The Ducks are hoping that Moore can return sooner rather than later. And luckily for them, they are on a bye week right now, giving him some extra time to recover before he gets back on the field.

The Ducks will be taking on the UCLA Bruins following the bye week, giving them a tough Big Ten test at home. Oregon will spend the next two weeks scheming for the upstart Bruins, planning for both Moore and Raiola to be under center, depending on how quickly their starter can heal.
