The Oregon Ducks and head coach Dan Lanning will be seeking their third straight win this season when the program takes on the UCLA Bruins in Week 6.

Despite facing multiple bumps in the road through the first four weeks of the 2026 college football regular season, Oregon is still in the running to make the College Football Playoffs, as the team currently ranks inside the top 15 of the AP Top 25. However, in order for Lanning and the Ducks must defeat a red-hot UCLA Bruins squad coming out of the bye week.

Luckily, the program received a promising outlook for the highly anticipated contest.

According to FanDuel Sportsbook, the Ducks open as 12.5-point favorites over the Bruins heading into the Week 6 battle next Saturday.

Oregon’s Week 6 Matchup Against UCLA

It’s safe to say that the Ducks have dealt with their fair share of adversity throughout the first four weeks of the regular season.

In Week 2, the program suffered its first loss of the year at the hands of the Oklahoma State Cowboys, 39-31. Fortunately for Lanning and his squad, Oregon’s early-season loss fueled the team to two straight victories over Portland State and USC. But the Week 4 battle against the longtime rivals saw star quarterback Dante Moore leave the contest after a brutal targeting call on Trojans’ linebacker Desman Stephens.

Now, the Ducks will likely rely on backup quarterback Dylan Raiola when the team takes on UCLA next Saturday.

The Bruins, who begin the season with a 4-0 record, will also be coming off a bye week. Led by former five-star high school quarterback Nico Iamaleava, the fellow Big 10 Conference member possesses one of the best rushing attacks in the nation. Senior running back Wayne Knight continues to impress this year, as he enters next week’s contest with 445 rushing yards and nine touchdowns on 49 carries. Knight will be joined by two additional veteran backs: Anthony Woods and Jaivian Thomas, who have combined for 424 rushing yards and seven touchdowns on 64 attempts.

UCLA’s prolific run game could be a real problem for the Ducks in Week 6, as the defense struggled at times this season to stop opposing teams’ run games. Oklahoma State recorded 237 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 40 attempts for an average of 5.9 yards per carry in Week 2. Quarterback Drew Mestemaker played a key role in the Cowboys’ rushing attack, accounting for 109 of the rushing yards.
