A bounce-back win at home late Saturday night for the Oregon Ducks is having positive impacts on the recruits who were in attendance, and the Ducks are one step closer to securing their first commitment in the class.
Oregon took down Nebraska in a 17-14 victory, which saw Dylan Raiola stage a fourth-quarter comeback in front of several of the Ducks' 2027 commits and 2028 priority targets. Early on Monday morning, Rivals recruiting expert Steve Wiltfong logged a prediction in favor of the Ducks to land 2028 athlete Jayce Halasz out of Graham, Washington.
Halasz, who plays receiver and defensive back at Graham-Kapowsin, made his third trip to Autzen Stadium for a game on Saturday, previously making the trip south to watch Oregon in games against Portland State and UCLA. He spent more time with the team this week, and the Ducks made significant progress with the Pacific Northwest receiver.
Wiltfong is the only prediction currently logged for Oregon to land Halasz, and the four-star recruit has yet to set a commitment date, so the recruiting process is likely far from over. Halasz will visit Alabama this weekend, followed by USC, Notre Dame and Wisconsin. The Ducks appear to be at the top of his list after spending three weekends in Eugene so far this season.

Halasz, a 6-foot-2 playmaker, is ranked as the No. 6 athlete in the 2028 class and the No. 136 player overall, per the Rivals Industry Ranking. He broke out in his sophomore season, hauling in 64 receptions for 1,019 yards and eight touchdowns. Halasz also had 30 tackles, seven pass breakups and one interception on defense. This season, Halasz has 19 catches for 431 yards and seven touchdowns.
Oregon is still searching for its first commitment in the 2028 class. Four-star quarterback Josiah Boyd has the Ducks among his three finalists and will announce a decision on Nov. 23, with Kentucky and UCLA also battling hard for his commitment. Adding a quarterback early could help the Ducks build the rest of the class, including Halasz when he is ready to make a decision.
