The Oregon Ducks hosted a successful first round of official visits this weekend, with several top recruits around the country in attendance, including some commits. Now, the Ducks will wait to see if their hard work will pay off and result in more commitments.

Fortunately, the Ducks might not have to wait much longer. One of the top priorities on campus this weekend was four-star linebacker Toa Satele, who is the No. 68 overall player and No. 4 linebacker in the 2027 class, according to the Rivals Industry Ranking.

Satele’s visit went well enough that Rivals recruiting experts Steve Wiltfong, Greg Biggins and Brandon Huffman all placed predictions on the Hawaii star to land with the Ducks. Satele is also considering Texas, Cal and Notre Dame.

Oregon has been viewed as the leader throughout the recruiting process for Satele, and the Ducks could use another talented linebacker in the class. Four-star Brandon Lockley Jr. and three-star Sam Ngata are the only linebackers in the class for the Ducks right now. Satele stars at Mililani High School, the same school that former Oregon quarterback Dillon Gabriel originated from.

Satele is scheduled to visit Texas next weekend before going to Notre Dame and Cal the following weekends. It’s likely that he will take all of his visits before announcing a decision. Oregon currently has the No. 9 class in the nation, per Rivals, and Satele would certainly boost that ranking even higher.
