The Big Ten injury report confirmed that a key player will miss Nebraska's matchup against the Oregon Ducks this Saturday. Duck's quarterback Dante Moore will miss this weekend's game against the Cornhuskers.

Nebraska fans believed former Husker quarterback Dylan Raiola would start if Moore was held out this week. But Raiola struggled in a 17-15 loss to UCLA last weekend and was replaced late in the game by Brock Thomas.

Duck's coach Dan Lanning has made it clear that if Moore couldn't play, the team would open the starting Quarterback position to competition. Raiola, Thomas and Akili Smith Jr. have all been taking snaps with the first team during practice this week.

Raiola played for Nebraska during the 2024 and 2025 seasons. He joined Nebraska as the top 2024 quarterback recruit in the country, passing for nearly 8,500 career yards, 88 touchdowns, and just 11 interceptions in high school.

In 22 career games at Nebraska, he threw for 4,819 yards, 31 touchdowns and 17 interceptions while completing 69.1% of his passes. The 2025 season was cut short after suffering an injury in a loss against USC. He threw for 2,000 yards, 18 touchdowns and six interceptions.

Nebraska returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 17 at Oregon. Kickoff time is scheduled for 10 p.m. CT on Fox.
