The Oregon Ducks have lost another player via the transfer portal, with running back Jayden Limar the latest to announce his decision to depart from the program on Tuesday morning.

Limar, a junior, served as the fourth running back in 2025, coming in behind sixth-year senior Noah Whittington and true freshman Jordon Davison and Dierre Hill Jr. He carried the ball 46 times for 262 yards and three touchdowns while catching 11 passes for 75 yards. He battled an injury that limited him to just six games during the regular season.

But with Hill and Davison expected back next season, Limar has decided to take his talents elsewhere for his senior campaign.

The 5-foot-11, 205-pounder was a four-star out of high school, ranking as the No. 18 running back in the 2023 class, per 247 Sports.

He played in 11 of the Ducks‘ 14 games as a true freshman, carrying the ball 24 times for over 100 yards and a touchdown. Limar then appeared in all 14 games as a sophomore before taking on a bigger role as a junior in 2025 despite suffering an injury.

In what turned out to be his final game as a Duck, Limar carried the ball three times for three yards and caught one pass for 27 yards in Oregon’s 23-0 victory over the Texas Tech Red Raiders in the College Football Playoff semifinals.

Limar will have one year of eligibility remaining.
