Oregon rises slightly in national title odds after dominant Week 12 win over Minnesota

Week 12 in college football was relatively tame — from a results perspective. On the surface, seven teams in the top 25 lost, yet four came in matchups with each other. Within the top 10, two teams, Texas and Alabama, lost to fellow highly-ranked opponents in Georgia and Oklahoma, respectively.

But it was Texas A&M who orchestrated the largest comeback win in program history, saving their undefeated season as they rebounded from a 30-3 halftime deficit to win, 31-30. The team on the other side, South Carolina, had their second SEC win in their sights, only to be snatched away by Marcel Reed and Co.

Elsewhere, the Crimson Tide suffered their second loss, pitting an important and potentially controversial upcoming conversation on where they should be seeded in the updated College Football Playoff rankings. Oklahoma too, who now also has two losses and a head-to-head victory over the Tide.

The Oregon Ducks, on the other hand, took care of business on Friday night with a 42-13 win. Slated at No. 8, they should move up in both the CFP seeding and in their odds to win a national title.
