Oregon star WR Dakorien Moore ruled out vs Iowa football

The task of slowing down Oregon’s offense just got a bit easier for Phil Parker.

After reports earlier in the day that the Ducks‘ star wide receiver Dakorien Moore got injured in practice and was ‘uncertain’ to play against Iowa, the injury report is officially out. Moore will not suit up for the Ducks in today’s pivotal matchup at Kinnick Stadium.

He joins a host of other Oregon players who will not play today against the Hawkeyes. In total, eight Ducks are officially out today, with two more out for the season and another three questionable. The most notable of those questionable players is tight end Kenyon Sadiq, who leads Oregon with five receiving touchdowns this season and was not seen warming up with the rest of the tight ends pregame. He would be another big loss for Dan Lanning’s group if he can’t go.

Moore leads Oregon in receiving yards with 443 and has also pitched in three receiving touchdowns. The true freshman receiver has been a phenom for the Ducks this year and is a huge loss for quarterback Dante Moore and the rest of that offense.

The Hawkeyes enter today’s game with a relatively clean bill of health. Wide receiver Jarriett Buie has been out all season long and will miss today’s game as well. Reserve offensive lineman Lucas Allgeyer is the only other Hawk ruled out for this game. It’s going to need to be all hands on deck to take down an extremely talented Oregon team, and the Hawkeyes will have almost their entire roster ready to go.

Iowa and Oregon will kick off at 2:40 p.m. CST on CBS. The winner will keep their College Football Playoff hopes alive.
