The day we’ve all been waiting for is finally here. It’s been nearly 365 days since the Oregon Ducks lost in the Rose Bowl and they managed to dust themselves off and get all the way back to the College Football Playoff.

They will line up against the James Madison Dukes in the first playoff game ever played at Autzen Stadium. Both of these teams have had a few weeks away from the field to rest and recover, so we should get a high-level game with both sides at their best.

The Ducks have true National Championship hopes and want to fulfill their dreams before their coordinators, Will Stein and Tosh Lupoi, depart for their new head coaching jobs after the season. On the other hand, the Dukes are just happy to capture a spot in the tournament after capturing the No. 12 seed in the tournament.

These squads had drastically different goals heading into the year, but now they meet on the same field with one common goal in mind, and only each other standing in the way.
