NORMAN — Oklahoma freshman wide receiver Jahsiear Rogers has been dismissed from the team, The Oklahoman confirmed Thursday.

The reasoning for Rogers' dismissal was not disclosed.

Rogers appeared in the Sooners' season-opening win over UTEP but didn't record any stats.

Following a visit to Norman for OU's loss to Ole Miss last season, Rogers flipped his commitment from Penn State to the Sooners. He had been committed to the Nittany Lions for months but reopened his recruitment after the firing of coach James Franklin last year.

A four-star prospect out of Wilmington, Delaware, he was touted as the nation's No. 52 wide receiver prospect according to 247Sports. He earned Delaware Class 3A first-team all-state honors as a junior in 2024 and second-team all-state honors as a senior in 2025.

The Sooners (2-2, 0-1 SEC) will face top-ranked Texas (4-0, 1-0) at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Dallas.
