NORMAN — Oklahoma picked up an offensive line commitment out of the transfer portal Monday.
The Sooners landed Western Kentucky transfer Caleb Nitta, according to multiple reports. The former Virginia Tech lineman was one of the highest-graded group of five centers last season with a 69.2 Pro Football Focus grade.
OU’s second transfer portal commitment provides coach Brent Venables with depth at offensive line after losing six offensive linemen to the portal.
Nitta joins former Florida tight end Hayden Hansen as part of the Sooners‘ transfer portal class thus far.
Nitta visited Norman on Sunday and general manager Jim Nagy and his front office were quick to seal the deal. He has two years of eligibility remaining.
