NORMAN — OU football landed a pair of 2026 commitments during the Thanksgiving holiday.
The Sooners flipped four-star wide receiver Jayden Petit's pledge from Wisconsin on Thursday and added three-star edge rusher Dane Bathurst on Friday. OU now has 24 commitments to its 2026 class ahead of next week's early National Signing Day period.
Petit decommitted from the Badgers on Wednesday night before committing to the Sooners over 12 hours later. The St. John Neumann Catholic High School standout from Naples, Florida, visited OU during its loss to Ole Miss on Oct. 25.
Bathurst, who's originally from Florida but played his senior season of high school football at Carmel High School in the Indianapolis area, chose the Sooners over Purdue, Vanderbilt and others. Bathurst visited OU during its win over Missouri last weekend.
OU's success on the field has translated to the recruiting trail the past few weeks. The Sooners are likely one win away from the College Football Playoff as they gear up to face LSU in their regular-season finale on Saturday.
