The college football season is starting to take shape, now that some teams have played around half of their games, and the same is true about the upcoming 2027 NFL Draft class. Who are the big prospects playing in Saturday’s big game? We have you covered. Below are the projected top-100 selections, per the consensus draft board, set to play in top-25 matchups this weekend.

Top 25 Matchups

#4 Ohio State @ #5 Indiana (FOX, 11 am CT)

  • #1: Jeremiah Smith, WR, Ohio State
  • #10: Charlie Becker, WR, Indiana
  • #30: Nick Marsh, WR, Indiana
  • #40: Carter Smith, OL, Indiana
  • #45: Kenyatta Jackson, ED, Ohio State
  • #50: Julian Sayin, QB, Ohio State
  • #67: Austin Siereveld, OL, Ohio State
  • #81: Jaylen McClain, S, Ohio State

It’s a little weird to see Indiana having more top-end talent than Ohio State, but Buckeyes receiver Jeremiah Smith is in a different class right now. Smith is by far the Heisman favorite and has already recorded 48 receptions for 916 yards and 11 touchdowns through six games.

#16 Mississippi State @ #22 LSU (ESPN, 11 am CT)

  • #12: Jordan Seaton, OL, LSU
  • #24: Kelley Jones, CB, Mississippi State
  • #25: Trey’Dez Green, TE, LSU (out)
  • #58: Princewill Umanmielen, ED, LSU
  • #73: Ty Benefield, S, LSU
  • #91: Jordan Ross, ED, LSU

Despite a disappointing start, LSU still has a lot of talent, one reason why they’re 17.5-point favorites going into this game against Mississippi State. Another factor: Bulldogs quarterback Kamario Taylor is currently listed as doubtful with a turf toe injury.

Keep an eye on Mississippi State cornerback Kelley Jones, who will be a favorite for Green Bay Packers fans, if he lasts until the Packers’ first pick in 2027. Jones is a 6’4” cornerback who returned to school last year after being thought of as a potential prospect for the 2026 class. Matching up against a Lane Kiffin offense means he’ll have plenty of opportunities to get tape of him defending one-on-one vertical routes, which Kiffin quarterbacks generally throw as jump-ball opportunities.

#6 Alabama @ #14 Tennessee (ABC, 2:30 pm CT)

  • #18: Yhonzae Pierre, ED, Alabama
  • #32: Ryan Coleman-Williams, WR, Alabama
  • #38: Zabien Brown, CB, Alabama
  • #47: Devan Thompkins, DL, Alabama
  • #54: Xavier Gilliam, DL, Tennessee
  • #98: Bray Hubbard, S, Alabama

Alabama took it down to the wire against Georgia last week, and they are talented enough to go on a deep playoff run, no matter if they win the SEC or not. Meanwhile, Tennessee has had some quarterback struggles, which is why the Crimson Tide are more than touchdown favorites on the road.

Keep an eye on defensive lineman Devan Thompkins of Alabama, who is having a breakout season after transferring in from USC. Thompkins didn’t play football until his senior year of high school, but the 6’5”, 298-pounder is quickly rising up draft boards.

#13 Missouri @ #9 Mississippi (SEC Network, 2:30 pm CT)

  • #13: Trinidad Chambliss, QB, Mississippi
  • #14: Will Echoles, DL, Mississippi
  • #31: Austin Simmons, QB, Missouri
  • #39: Cayden Green, OL, Missouri (probable)
  • #51: Kewan Lacy, RB, Mississippi
  • #56: Deuce Alexander, WR, Mississippi
  • #72: Ahmad Hardy, RB, Missouri (out)
  • #99: Surtaine Perkins, LB, Mississippi

If you want to watch some good quarterback play, this one will be fun. Both Trinidad Chambliss and Austin Simmons (who played for Mississippi last year until his injury opened up an opportunity for Chambliss) have a chance of being drafted in the first round this year.

Missouri is dealing with a couple of big injuries, though. Running back Ahmad Hardy, who came into the season as most people’s RB1, is still out from a leg injury that he suffered when he was shot at a concert in May. Left tackle Cayden Green, who probably could have declared for the draft last season and been selected, is listed as probably with an undisclosed injury. Green missed Week 1 as he recovered from his meniscus surgery, but he played in the Tigers’ next four games.

#2 Notre Dame @ #8 BYU (ABC, 6:30 pm CT)

  • #4: Leonard Moore, CB, Notre Dame
  • #15: CJ Carr, QB, Notre Dame
  • #33: Brauntae Johnson, S, Notre Dame
  • #37: Kyngstonn Viliamu-Asa, LB, Notre Dame
  • #44: Boubacar Traore, ED, Notre Dame
  • #49: Anthonie Knapp, OL, Notre Dame
  • #87: DJ McKinney, CB, Notre Dame

It’s all Notre Dame for College GameDay’s matchup this week. BYU’s top player is running back LJ Martin, who made the surprising decision to return to school for 2026. Martin is out for the next couple of weeks, as he’s dealing with a high ankle sprain.

Since Martin’s injury, BYU is averaging 20.5 points per game over their last two contests. The Cougars posted 44 points per game when Martin was still in the lineup. That’s why the Irish are double-digit favorites.

#18 Oklahoma State @ #20 Houston (FOX, 6:30 pm CT)

  • #5: Drew Mestemaker, QB, Oklahoma State
  • #86: Anthony Boswell, OL, Houston
  • #97: Wyatt Young, WR, Oklahoma State

One of the more interesting stories in college football right now is Drew Mestemaker, who has gone from a backup high school quarterback to a potential top-five pick. Mestemaker, a former walk-on at North Texas, transferred to Oklahoma State this offseason when his old head coach changed jobs.
